Terms & Conditions

The small print, kept small.

Baked Hue is a one-woman homeware label. These terms cover what you can expect from us and what we expect from you when you place an order on this site.

By checking out you agree to everything below. If something here doesn't sit right, message us before you pay rather than after.

Who you're buying from

This site is operated by Harneesh, an individual seller trading as Baked Hue, run from Faridabad, Haryana.

Our contact details live on the contact page.

Our pieces are handmade, so they vary

Most of what we sell is made or finished by hand in small batches. Glaze pools differently on every piece, colours shift between firings, and dimensions can move by a few millimetres. That variation is the point, not a fault.

Product photos are shot in daylight with no colour correction, but screens differ — treat the photo as a close likeness rather than an exact match. Sizes listed are approximate unless stated otherwise.

Prices

All prices are in Indian Rupees (INR). The price on the listing is the price you pay for the piece — nothing is added at checkout.

We can change prices at any time, but never on an order you've already paid for. If a price is listed wrongly because of a genuine error, we'll tell you before dispatch and either honour it, refund you in full, or let you choose.

Shipping is charged separately and confirmed with you before dispatch — see our shipping policy for how that works. Gift boxes are ordinary products with their own listed prices.

Payment

Payments are processed by Razorpay Software Private Limited. You can pay by UPI, debit or credit card, netbanking, or wallet. Card and UPI details are entered on Razorpay's own secure checkout — they never touch our systems and we never see or store them.

Your order is confirmed only once Razorpay confirms the payment to us. A debit alert from your bank is not by itself confirmation; if money leaves your account and no order appears, see our cancellation and refunds policy.

Your basket is held for 15 minutes

Because most pieces are one-offs, starting the payment step reserves the items in your cart for 15 minutes. Nobody else can buy them in that window.

If you don't complete payment within 15 minutes the reservation lapses and the pieces go back on sale. Nothing is charged. If a payment reaches us after the hold has expired and the pieces are gone, we refund it in full — automatically, without you having to ask.

When we can decline an order

We may cancel an order and refund it in full if a piece turns out to be damaged or unavailable, if the delivery address can't be serviced by our courier, if we can't reach you to confirm details, or if we suspect fraud or resale. We'll always tell you why.

Delivery, cancellations and refunds

Dispatch windows, delivery timelines and shipping charges are set out in our shipping policy. How to cancel, when we accept a return, and how quickly money comes back are in our cancellation & refunds policy. Both form part of these terms.

Gift wrapping

Gift boxes are sold as their own pieces in the shop, each priced individually — add one to your basket and we'll pack your order inside it. Handwritten notes are free; just tell us what to write.

Using this site

The photography, product descriptions, illustrations and layout on this site belong to us. You're welcome to share links and screenshots with credit; please don't reuse our images for your own listings, scrape the catalogue, or resell our pieces as your own.

Don't try to break, overload or probe the site, and don't place orders using someone else's payment details.

Services we rely on

We use Razorpay for payments, Vercel for hosting and analytics, Sanity to store the catalogue and orders, and Instagram to talk to you. Those services have their own terms, and we aren't responsible for outages on their side — though we will always sort out any order affected by one.

Limits on our liability

Ceramics and glass are fragile. We pack carefully and we cover breakage in transit under our refunds policy, but we aren't liable for damage caused by ordinary use, thermal shock, dishwashers or microwaves unless the listing says the piece is safe for them.

To the extent the law allows, our total liability for any order is limited to what you paid for it. We aren't liable for indirect losses — a missed occasion, for instance — beyond that amount.

Governing law and jurisdiction

These terms are governed by the laws of India. Any dispute will be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts at Faridabad, Haryana, India.

Before it gets that far, please write to us. Almost everything is fixable over a message.

Changes to these terms

We update this page as the shop grows. The version in force for your order is the one published on the day you paid, and the date at the top tells you when we last changed anything.
