Privacy Policy
What we know about you, and why.
We're a small shop, not an advertising business. We collect the few details needed to send you a parcel and nothing beyond that — no accounts, no profiles, no data sold to anyone.
This page describes the whole of it, in plain language, specific to how this site is actually built.

What we collect
Only what you type into the checkout form, plus the order itself:
- Your name, email address and phone number.
- Your shipping address — street, optional second line, city, state and PIN code.
- What you bought: the items, quantities, prices, any coupon used, and the total.
- The Razorpay order and payment reference numbers, so we can match a payment to a parcel.
What we never collect
There are no user accounts on this site, so there's no password to lose. We don't ask for your date of birth, gender, PAN, Aadhaar or GSTIN, and we don't buy or enrich customer data from anywhere else.
We never see your card number, CVV, UPI PIN, or netbanking credentials. Those are entered inside Razorpay's own checkout window and go straight to them.
How payments are handled
Payments run through Razorpay Software Private Limited, a PCI-DSS compliant payment gateway. When you pay, we send Razorpay the order amount and your name, email and phone so they can pre-fill their form and send you their own payment receipt.
Razorpay processes your payment details under their own privacy policy, published at razorpay.com/privacy. What comes back to us is a payment reference, the amount, and whether it succeeded.
Where your details are stored
Orders are stored as records in Sanity, the hosted content system that also holds our catalogue. The site itself runs on Vercel. Access is limited to Hani — no one else.
We keep order records for 6 months, then delete them.
Your cart stays in your browser
Your cart is saved in your own browser's local storage, under the key bakedhue-cart. The details you type at checkout — name, contact, address — are kept the same way, under bakedhue-checkout, so a page reload doesn't wipe the form. None of it reaches us until you actually place the order, clearing your browser data clears it, and it isn't a cookie or shared with anyone.
Analytics
We use Vercel Analytics and Vercel Speed Insights to see which pages people visit and how fast the site loads. Both work without cookies and without cross-site tracking: they record aggregate page views, referrers, approximate country, device type and load timings — not identifiable visitors.
We don't run Google Analytics, Meta Pixel, ad retargeting, session recording or heatmaps.
Who else sees your details
- Razorpay — to take the payment and to process any refund.
- Our courier partners, Delhivery and DPD — your name, address and phone number, so they can deliver.
- Resend, our email delivery service — your name, email address and order summary, so your order confirmation reaches your inbox.
- Government or law enforcement, if we're legally required to hand something over.
How we contact you
When your payment goes through, the site emails you an order confirmation — that's the only automated email it sends. Beyond that, Hani messages you about your own order — over email, phone, WhatsApp or Instagram DM, whichever you reached us on.
We don't send marketing messages — no promotional emails, no WhatsApp broadcasts, no newsletters. Every message you get from us is about an order you placed.
Your rights
Write to bakedhue@gmail.com and you can ask us for a copy of everything we hold on you, correct anything wrong, or have your details deleted. You'll hear back within 1 working day, and we'll complete the request within 7 working days.
One limit: records of a completed sale stay for the full retention period above, in case a refund or dispute needs them. Everything else goes.
Security
The site is served entirely over HTTPS. Payment credentials never reach our systems. Order records sit behind authenticated access, and only the people named above can read them. We can't promise perfect security — nobody honestly can — but there is very little here to steal.
Children
This shop isn't aimed at children and we don't knowingly collect details from anyone under 18. If you're under 18, order through a parent or guardian.

Changes to this policy
If we start using a new tool that touches your data, this page changes first and the date at the top updates with it.
